Pictures from McOlivia & Ray Anyasi's Traditional Marriage in Udi (#Uchedimma2017)

Holla Lovelies,

November 11th was a success by all standards. The day my awesome fiancé, Raymond, graced Udi with his Umunna, to take me home to Aniocha, as wife.

The night before, I laid out all my outfits after my choreography rehearsals, with plans to get some long beauty sleep.

Almost like clockwork, I was up at first cock-crow, excited to finally be getting married to the love of my life. Bye bye beauty sleep. I had my morning devotion which was mostly thanking God that the day had finally come for my journey into married life to begin.

We had a prayer walk round my father's house. My darling Ebube was with me all the way. She's a blessed woman.

I took my sweet time to get ready for my first outing, and I stepped out gracefully, in the company of my sisters, to greet my in-laws & everyone present.

For my second outing, I wore the sparkling 'Akwa Ocha', as a Delta bride. It was then that we choreographed to Flavor's Ifeadigomma amidst loud cheers. My ashebi & I also sold eggs, a symbol of fertility.

Just before the wrestlers took the stage, DJ Ree’s Performance stole the show.

DJ Ree.

For the last outing, I wore a blend of Teal Green Indian George with red Gele and accessories. This was when my father gave me palm wine to search for my husband. After I found him, daddy blessed us and declared us Husband & Wife.
